Pioneer Dj XPRS2: here is the new version of the highly acclaimed XPRS series.

Pioneer Dj's XPRS2 has recently hit the market, further raising the overall quality of a highly successful product series.

This is a new line that combines the versatility and ease of transport of the original XPRS series with even better sound performance and audio intelligibility.

The XPRS speakers, in a variety of sizes and power ratings are all full-range and Class D amplified and are perfect in contexts such as DJ sets, live performances, houses of worship, fixed installations, and equally suitable for renters who want to offer customers a product with a clearly recognizable brand.

"The XPRS2 series builds on the knowledge and technology that Pioneer DJ has developed over decades and introduces exciting innovations that enable artists and venues to produce their best shows," says Kristian Van Haute, Sales Manager Pioneer Dj, AlphaTheta EMEA.

Class-D Amplification

The XPRS2 Series uses Class D amplification with high power output for an immersive, high-quality sound experience that pleases musicians and listeners alike. The XPRS102 and XPRS122 full-range loudspeakers feature 2000 W modules, while the XPRS1152S and XPRS1182S subwoofers offer 4,000 W amplification, also Class D.

XPRS102 and XPRS122: full range 10" and 12"

XPRS102 is the smallest in the series and combines a 10" woofer and 2.5" voice coil with a compression driver with a 1" aperture and 1.75" voice coil for flawless audio performance and highly defined high frequencies.

With a maximum sound pressure level (SPL) of 129 dB and a frequency response of 50 Hz to 20 kHz, the XPRS102 full-range speakers ensure the highest degree of accuracy in both music and speech playback.

XPRS122 represents the largest full-range speaker in the XPRS2 Series and mounts a 12" woofer and 3" voice coil with a compression driver with a 1" aperture and 1.75" voice coil.

These speakers provide effective sound coverage for intermediate to large audiences and venues, and with a frequency response from 48 Hz to 20 kHz and a maximum SPL of 131 dB they can deliver powerful and engaging sound, capable of performing at its best even in the most challenging sound environments and where significant pressure is needed, typical example that of live DJ sets.

Subwoofers

Along with the two new "heads" we have just talked about Pioneer with this new series also introduces two active subwoofers: the XPRS1152S and XPRS1182S, which, as the name suggests, mount 15'' and 18'' woofers respectively, again in active versions.

Both subwoofers contain three preset DSP modes - Boost, Extended LF and Normal - to suit different listening environments while, the technical specifications show that XPRS1152S features a 15" ferrite woofer with a 3" long excursion voice coil, while the larger XPRS1182S relies on an 18" ferrite woofer with a 3" long excursion voice coil, to reproduce low frequencies with decisive precision and controlled bass, what DJs and performers often ask for...

Also notable are the data in relation to frequency response: the XPRS1152S boasts a frequency response from 45 Hz to 120 Hz and a maximum SPL of 129 dB, while the XPRS1182S offers a frequency response from 40 Hz to 120 Hz and a maximum SPL of 130 dB, thus combining the performance of a permanent installation subwoofer in a compact chassis, a prerogative indispensable for artists always on the move and renters in general.
